OUR COMMUNITY
At Kane Street Kids, we believe that a strong parent community is an essential part of a meaningful early childhood experience. Rooted in the Jewish value of kehilah (community), we cultivate an environment where families feel a true sense of belonging, connection, and shared purpose from the very start.
We see ourselves as partners in each family’s parenting journey, offering support that nurtures both children and families. We aim to be a trusted resource for you as a caregiver and an active partner in your child’s education, supporting you through every stage: from transitioning into the school setting, to navigating milestones like potty learning, managing challenging behaviors, and everything in between.
Families can expect open, ongoing communication, along with thoughtful guidance and support from our educators. We value a collaborative approach, working closely with parents to understand each child’s unique needs and to support their growth both in school and at home.

How We Engage and Communicate With Families:
-
Communication App & Weekly Updates
Families receive daily notifications about what is happening in the classroom, including photos and important reminders via our TadPole app.
-
Family Conferences
Three times a year (in November, January, May), parents/guardians are invited to meet with their child’s educator to learn about their child’s progress. Families are always welcome to set up additional times to talk with the teachers or the director!
-
Progress Reports
Educators will send formal progress reports twice a year, which will highlight your child’s growth in each area of development.
-
Family Visits
We invite families several times a year to join us in the classroom to celebrate holidays, as well as special family visits to share about yourself and your family.
